Eager to reconnect with relatives in Sri Lanka and envisions making a positive impact on her community. Believes in empowering the younger generation for the community’s sustained success, showcasing a commitment to cultural preservation and community development.

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Relocated to South Florida three years ago to pursue a medical residency in family medicine. Motivated by belief in the significance of preserving and perpetuating cultural traditions for posterity, thus pursued involvement in Ilankai Thamil Manram Florida. With a deep reverence for his heritage, endeavors to imbue its values within his family and the wider community. Outside of his professional pursuits, maintains an active lifestyle, indulging in his passion for basketball and regular gym sessions to uphold a healthy way of life, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness and well-being.

Born in Manthuvil, Sri Lanka. Raised in Meesalai North and moved to New York in 1989. Relocated to Coral Springs, Florida, in 1995. Owned and operated Best Western in Lake Hamilton, Florida until 2010. A dedicated community organizer who played a vital role in helping Sri Lankan families take root and thrive in the United States.  Committed to building strong cultural institutions; helped found the Ilankai Thamil Manram Florida and was influential in reviving FETNA(Federation of Tamil Sangam of North America), recruiting renowned musicians and speakers and enriching the diaspora’s cultural experience. A proponent of equality, firmly rejects caste-based divisions and draws inspiration from the visionary thinker Periyar. Reflects his values not only in activism but also in mentorship, passionately encouraging young people to pursue higher education and fulfill their highest potential.
